How we work.
Define what to test.
We formulate a testable hypothesis and choose the experiments or analyses needed to assess it. We agree in advance how to evaluate the results.
Examine the results.
We carry out the work with the relevant team, document the methods and assess what the results do and do not support.
Decide how to proceed.
The findings determine the next step: refine the hypothesis, run further tests or move into development when there is sufficient evidence to do so.
03 / PRINCIPLES
What guides our decisions.
Follow the evidence.
We separate what the data show from what we still assume. We are prepared to discard a hypothesis when the evidence rules it out, including one we began with.
Bring the right people together.
A problem may need clinicians, physicists, biologists or engineers working together. We form the team around the expertise the work requires.
Research can change direction.
An inconclusive result is not, by itself, a reason to stop. We allow time for repeated tests and new approaches when there are sound grounds to keep investigating.

From researchto development.
When the findings justify further development, EGV can assemble a dedicated team, provide resources and arrange access to technology or facilities. If the work needs its own organisation, we can establish a company to carry it forward.
